Synopsis: Comedy drama. A young withdrawn girl with an amazing capacity for imitating famous singers is given a chance to show her talents by a showbusiness agent "romantically" involved with her blowsy mother.Synopsis: Based on the stage play `The Rise and fall of Little Voice' by Jim Cartwright. A comedy drama about an introverted young woman whose secret talent for imitating famous female singers, such as Judy Garland and Shirley Bassey, is discovered by a seedy showbusiness agent romantically involved with her brassy mother. Meanwhile, she is being tentatively wooed by a shy telephone repairman, whose greatest love hitherto has been his racing pigeons.
